Firsts

Okay, I have finally done it! I have officially joined the blogger world! After spending countless hours the past several months reading about the lives of poeple I don't even know and keeping up with friends and family on their blogs I decided to create one for our family. I love it!!! It really didn't occur to me at first to have my own but the more I got involved in the reading the more I thought I could do it too! So, on that note welcome to our site and my very first post. I hope you enjoy being a part of our crazy life and I can't wait to share with you our daily events. I will try not to be long winded but I am no journalist guys so I will do my best! Enjoy!!

Now, on to some fun stuff.....Last night was Cadyn's first Soccer practice. When I picked Cadyn up from school I told him that his coach had called and his first practice was tonight and to that he screeched "that rocks". (Everything that is cool "rocks" these days) So since we are new to this sport I even asked what he should wear to practice that night. My task for the afternoon was to round up shin guards, cletes and socks. Before I drove from here to there I decided to call Miss Angela (Camryn's babysitter and my hair goddess) and ask her where to go since both of her kids play soccer. As always, she hooked me up! She gave us a pair of shin guards and socks that were too small for her kids and a pair of NIKE cletes. Well, the cletes were awesome but they were a size 3 which are about 2 sizes too big for Cadyn. I knew he would insist on wearing them and I knew there would be a fight before we went to practice. (Oh and as a side note, did you know that there is a difference between soccer cletes and baseball cletes? I didn't but I learned yesterday. Basball cletes have spikes on the toes and soccer cletes do not.) Anyway, long story short, he did insist on wearing the size 3 they are going to slip off my feet but I love them so much cletes. We gave in, or I should say I gave in, at the last minute and just told him not to complain if he ran out of them. Okay, so we are on our way to practice and he is all excited but as soon as we get there and he walks out onto the field the tears start flowing. Cadyn is pretty shy and it takes him a while to get comfortable when he is around new people. Dusty and I decided that we were just going to stay back and see if he would dry it up and participate. Well, after about 10 minutes of non stop boo hooing Dusty told me I better get out there and have a talk with him before he did. So, I pulled him aside and got him to calm down (after a lot of coaxing) and he finally rejoined the team for practice. Once he got in there and started kicking the ball around he had a blast! He can't wait to have another practice. (We will be getting new shoes before them!) Here are some pictures of the chaos. Those coaches have their hands full trying to teach a bunch of rowdy 6 year old boys how to play the game!!
