It was beautiful out on the lake today. It was so calm that the water looked like glass and it was sprinkling a little bit. I had to snap a few pictures to capture the beauty of the fog resting on the water. We can't wait to get out there when it turns warm!

We Bought A Boat!!!
For the past 10 years that Dusty and I have been married he has yearned to own a ski boat. Well, his wish came true today. I think every spring he gets the itch and starts looking at the classifieds but we just have never taken the plunge and bought one. A couple of weeks ago he started checking out the paper again and found this one. So we arranged to go see it earlier this week and Dusty was in love at first sight. I actually think he was in love when he read the classified ad. HA! We really liked it but wanted to take it out on the lake to see how it would run before we committed to buying it. So today after church the guy met us out at Hwy 12 bridge and we took it for a spin. Well, that sealed the deal. We were all in love! Cadyn thinks it is awesome and can't wait to tube behind it. I think we will have a lot of fun in it this summer and I bet we will have some good tans!

Soccer & Sirens
What a crazy night!! Cadyn had his first soccer game last night and when we headed to the ball park the sun was shining and it was in the 70's. A beautiful night to be outside. Well, that all changed pretty quickly. About 20 minutes into the game dark clouds started rolling in and the temperature started dropping. We were under a severe thunderstorm warning. None of this seemed to bother the kids cause they just kept on playing and having a good time. Well then the tornado sirens started going off. The games were stopped immediately and you should have seen everyone running for their cars! It was quite a traffic jam! Needless to say, even though they only got to play for a little bit I think the boys had a great time. Cadyn was pretty aggressive and got right in there kicking the ball. It is quite comical watching those little guys run around after each other. By the time we got out of the traffic jam the storm had pretty much blown over so we ended the evening at McDonalds for some food and play time.
For some reason my camara was not taking good pictures last night so I am only going to show this one. I will try and get better ones at Saturdays game. If any of you have a chance you should come and watch him play sometime. I promise it will be entertaining!

Donuts

I just thought this was funny and had to share it with you all. When Cadyn was sick last week I stopped and got some donuts one morning thinking it would be a treat for him and might make him feel a little better. Well, Cadyn only ate about 2 bites off of it and then it sat on the table the rest of the day. I kept walking by and looking at it and thinking I needed to throw it away before Camryn came home but I always seemed to get distracted and would forget. So, later that afternoon sure enough when no one was looking Camryn I guess snatched it off the table and thought he would have a little snack. All of a sudden I hear Dusty yelling at me and saying "you gotta get in here and see this". I came running and grabbed the camara on the way cause I just knew it would be a kodak moment the way Dusty's voice sounded and got there just in time to see that he had not just nibbled on it but had crammed the whole entire thing in his mouth. Needless to say there was no more room and he couldn't chew so it was starting to fall out of his mouth. I snapped the picture and Dusty caught it just in time. What a Dad!!
Not much else happening around here the last few days. Cadyn has his first soccer game tomorrow night so stayed tuned for the details. He is excited! Go Yellow Jackets!!

Happy Easter!!
The day started off bright and early with the boys finding their baskets filled with candy from the Easter Bunny. Cadyn got a Pirates of the Carribean movie and Camryn got his first set of colors but instead of using them to color with we found him biting off the end of them! I guess we will put them up for a while till he learns just to eat food and not colors! After church we all went to Mimi and Pops for lunch! They fixed an excellent feast as always of turkey, ham dressing, mashed potatoes and Brandy made her famous hot rolls! YUM! Dusty even called and invited Mom, Dad and Spencer to come out so that was a nice treat to have us all together! The kids hunted easter eggs and loaded up on sugar the rest of the afternoon! It was a great day of worship and family time!

The Past Few Days....
Here is what we have been up to.......
Thursday--Cadyn had a low grade fever in the morning but it finally went away and did not come back! Yeah!! So, Cadyn has had some Build A Bear money burning a hole in his pocket so I gave in and took him. He built the cutest brown bear and named him Seargant. Then he had some cash left over so we went to Candy Craze and he got to pick out of few things and spend the rest of his money. Cadyn and I are HUGE Lost fans and we had not seen the episode from the week before since I was at Bunko that night and there was a basketball game on so we went back to my office and watched it on abc.com so we would be caught up and ready to watch the new one that night. It was a good day!
Friday--Still fever free so my Mom came over and stayed with Camryn and Cadyn and I went to the movie see Hortan Heres A Who with Michelle, Lindsey, Grammy Pat and Emma. It was such a cute movie! The kids loved it! Brandy brought the cousins over while we were gone and hung out with Mom and Camryn. It was such a beautiful day and I think they all enjoyed playing outside! While Camryn napped Cadyn and I dyed easter eggs. He always enjoys doing that and decorating them. Unfortunately, I started running a fever late in the afternoon and didn't feel so great the rest of the evening. Cadyn and I both ended up falling asleep on the couch and missing the whole Razorback game but I think I needed it! My fever broke sometime while I was sleeping and has not come back. Knock on wood!

Saturday--Michelle invited us to their church today for an easter egg hunt. Camryn was just a baby last year so this was his first official hunt if you can call it that. He was done after he found his first egg and realized there was candy inside. His main goal after that was to get the wrapper off and get it in his mouth! Cadyn was a wild man running around with all the other kids trying to fill his basket. It was a fun time!
Cadyn was showing how many he eggs he had.Camryn and Cadyn

Dusty & Jill
I read this on my friend Jodie's blog and thought it would be fun to fill out! Cadyn is in great spirits today but the fever is still there. It is low grade but enough to make him hot and make his cheeks and eyes red. We will pray that it will be gone tomorrow!

Rain, Rain Go Away....
Okay, it has not only just rained here today it has rained and POURED ALL DAY today. It has been a gloomy day but a good one just to stay in the house and do absolutely nothing! Cadyn woke up this morning with a fever again. Still no other symptoms other than a pesky fever. We pumped him full of motrin and in a couple of hours it went down. He was a completely different kid today. We thought he was back to himself until about 5:00pm when he curled up next to me and I thought he felt a little warm. Sure enough the fever was back! So, back to filling him with motrin and I guess we will just see if it goes away tomorrow. Looks like the rain will continue into tomorrow so I hope everyone is careful driving. Dusty went out earlier checking roads and he said it was getting pretty flooded out there!
BTW....I thought my picture would actually show the rain coming down but instead all you can tell from it is that it has actually been raining because the deck is wet! Oh well!

Spring Break Blues
Poor little Cadyn spent most of the day sacked out on the couch. He woke up this morning running 102.7 temperature and it hasn't got much better throughout the day. The fever seemed to go away for a little while this morning but it was just the motrin hiding it till it wore off. His cheeks stayed rosy and his eyes were red all day. His soccer team was having practice tonight but I called the coach early this afternoon and told him we would not be there. The sad thing was about 6:30 Cadyn asked me when we were going to soccer practice tonight and I had to tell him we weren't. He gave me such a sad little puppy dog look! I had Mimi take Camryn in to Miss Angela's today so I could keep him away from his brother. The majority of the time Camryn doesn't want Cadyn touching him but I guess tonight he sensed that his bubba was not feeling well and Mr. lovin lips would not stop kissing and hugging Cadyn. I tried to hold him back but that was like trying to hold a bull in a pen! Cadyn got out of bed about 9:45pm and was running 102.5 again and was crying so I held him till he went to sleep and then put him in my bed so I can keep an eye on him tonight! Hopefuly he will feel better tomorrow! What a way to spend the first day of spring break!Oh and one more thing...I am so very happy that Dancing with the Stars started its new season tonight! I just love that show! It will be a fun season to watch and guess who will take home the trophy! Hope you all had a good Monday!

New 4-Wheeler
Watch out! Cadyn is loose on his new gas powered 4-wheeler! Dusty and Cadyn went on a mission this morning to find Cadyn a 4-wheeler his size. He is too big for the power wheels 4-wheeler and Dusty's is too big for him to drive around so we had been talking about getting him a gas powered one and decided it was time. As you can imagine, Cadyn is thrilled with his new toy! He will have a lot of fun going back and forth from our house to Mimi and Pop's house and I am sure he will tag along side of Dusty on dirt road rides!
Red just like his dad's

Return of the Jeep

Well, the power wheels jeep is back out and running again. We figured that Camryn is getting big enough that he might enjoy riding it around the yard so Dusty dug it out of the storage building and we bought a new battery for it. It could use a car wash from sitting in storage for the past couple of years but other than that it runs like it is brand new! Cadyn was about 2 when we got it for him and he put a ton of miles on it riding around the yard until the power wheels 4 wheeler came along and the jeep didn't seem to exist anymore. Anyway, Camryn doesn't quite get the concept of how to push the accelerator and drive so he just hangs out in the passenger seat and Cadyn drives him around. I am sure he will get the hang of it soon (if Cadyn will ever let him have a chance at driving)! HA! This week the weather has been beautiful so we have got to spend several afternoons outside playing. We can't wait for summer so we can ejoy the outdoors every day! Hope you all have taken advantage of the pretty days this week too and got some fresh air!

Happy Birthday Cadyn!!
6 years later
This is our other little doofus Camryn Jake
Cadyn and all his buddiesWhat a day we have had! Today was Cadyn's 6th birthday! Boy the time has gone by fast. It seems just like yesterday that we were bringing him home from the hospital! Dusty was a Watch Dog Dad today at school so he got to spend the entire day with Cadyn. They went on a field trip so Dusty got to go as a chaperone with his class. It was a fun time but I think being in Kindergarten for a day wore Dusty out!
After school we went to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday party with some friends from school and his cousins. This was the first year we had a "friends" birthday party. I have to say it was a lot of fun! The kids ran around like wild little indians playing games and of course the highlight of it all was cashing in their tickets for prizes. I think every one of them went away with some cool stuff! Cadyn had so much loot that he had to have a bag to carry it all in. I think the birthday boy had a excellent day! We love you sweet little boy! You are getting so big and we look forward to many more fun birthdays!
I will try and get a slide show of all the pictures posted tomorrow!

Firsts
Okay, I have finally done it! I have officially joined the blogger world! After spending countless hours the past several months reading about the lives of poeple I don't even know and keeping up with friends and family on their blogs I decided to create one for our family. I love it!!! It really didn't occur to me at first to have my own but the more I got involved in the reading the more I thought I could do it too! So, on that note welcome to our site and my very first post. I hope you enjoy being a part of our crazy life and I can't wait to share with you our daily events. I will try not to be long winded but I am no journalist guys so I will do my best! Enjoy!!
Now, on to some fun stuff.....Last night was Cadyn's first Soccer practice. When I picked Cadyn up from school I told him that his coach had called and his first practice was tonight and to that he screeched "that rocks". (Everything that is cool "rocks" these days) So since we are new to this sport I even asked what he should wear to practice that night. My task for the afternoon was to round up shin guards, cletes and socks. Before I drove from here to there I decided to call Miss Angela (Camryn's babysitter and my hair goddess) and ask her where to go since both of her kids play soccer. As always, she hooked me up! She gave us a pair of shin guards and socks that were too small for her kids and a pair of NIKE cletes. Well, the cletes were awesome but they were a size 3 which are about 2 sizes too big for Cadyn. I knew he would insist on wearing them and I knew there would be a fight before we went to practice. (Oh and as a side note, did you know that there is a difference between soccer cletes and baseball cletes? I didn't but I learned yesterday. Basball cletes have spikes on the toes and soccer cletes do not.) Anyway, long story short, he did insist on wearing the size 3 they are going to slip off my feet but I love them so much cletes. We gave in, or I should say I gave in, at the last minute and just told him not to complain if he ran out of them. Okay, so we are on our way to practice and he is all excited but as soon as we get there and he walks out onto the field the tears start flowing. Cadyn is pretty shy and it takes him a while to get comfortable when he is around new people. Dusty and I decided that we were just going to stay back and see if he would dry it up and participate. Well, after about 10 minutes of non stop boo hooing Dusty told me I better get out there and have a talk with him before he did. So, I pulled him aside and got him to calm down (after a lot of coaxing) and he finally rejoined the team for practice. Once he got in there and started kicking the ball around he had a blast! He can't wait to have another practice. (We will be getting new shoes before them!) Here are some pictures of the chaos. Those coaches have their hands full trying to teach a bunch of rowdy 6 year old boys how to play the game!!
