Basketball

Cadyn had his first basketball game Saturday. He is playing through the Upward league this year. It is a Christian based program that promotes Christian values while teaching them the basic fundamentals of playing basketball. We figured this was a good place for Cadyn to start since he was not sure about playing at all and this is non competitive so it doesn't matter who wins or loses.

He has had a lot of fun and is improving weekly! Since this is the first time most of the kids on his team have played league basketball it did get a little confusing during the game. They weren't sure of what they should be doing but by the end of the game they were starting to catch on. It was quite entertaining and cute! We had a huge cheering section! My parents, Dusty's parents and Brandy and the kids all came. It was so nice to have eveyone there!

After Cadyn's game we went to watch Collin and Collier's game. Wow, those boys are good! What a difference a couple of years can make in their skills! We had a lot of fun and they even had Camryn cheering them to victory! Camryn was cracking us all up yelling "Go Collin", "Go Collier" and "Go Tigers"! He would even put his face in his hand in disgust when they amdce a bad play!

Snow Day

Last Thursday we got a little bit of snow and school was closed for the day. Shane and Brandy had to attend a funeral so "The Cousins" came over and spent the day with us. Cadyn and the boys play so well together. They love to play their DS's! Meredith pretty much babysat Camryn and play with him till it was time for his nap. They all got along so well that Dusty mentioned he wondered if they could come over all the time and entertain! We are glad they hung out with is and had a lot of fun! Here are a couple of pictures of them goofing around!

Birthday Party

Saturday we went to cadyn's good friend Lindsey's 7th birthday party at Fast Lane. This place is like Chuck E Cheese's but in addition to all the arcade games they have bowling, indoor go-carts and laser tag. It is a ton of fun all wrapped up in one place!

Cadyn bowling

Riding the go carts that only went about 2 mph but the kids didn't care

Camryn riding the merry go round. He loved this ride and actually bummed a few free rides by flashing his cute smile. No one could resist

Singing "Happy Birthday"

Cadyn enjoying a chocolate cupcake.

I tried to cut up Camryn's cupcake but he wanted to eat it like a big boy!

Out with the old and In with the new.....

The old Kodak

My new Fuji

A couple of months ago the flash in my Kodak camara went out. I was told that I might as well buy a new camara because it would cost about the same to get the flash fixed. I was so sad! Well, since it was right before Christmas I just couldn't see spending the money on a new camara so I just went without one. After borrowing my mother in laws a couple of times we decided that we had to get a new one. I missed getting pictures of the kids opening presents on Christmas morning and there were a few other times I really wished I had one. This Fuji is last years model so we got a really good deal on it. I am so happy to get to snap pics again.

I was just going to throw away the Kodak but Dusty decided to list it on Ebay and see if we could make a little money off of it. The bid started out at $5 and I was sure it would not go over $6 but to my surprise it ended up selling for $40. Wow! We were honest about the flash but obviously someone wanted it anyway.

Holiday Catch-Up

Hey everyone! We have been so busy so here is a quick recap of our holidays.........

Cadyn's class party was a lot of fun! They decorated holiday shaped cookies, made gingerbread men ornaments and mixed up some reindeer food to spread on the lawn. Unfortunately, on the last day of school before the break I had to go pick Cadyn up early. He was running a fever and continued to have it for 3 days.

Camryn had his first school party at his preschool. They pretty much just ate snacks. They did make these cute little shirts to wear with their handprints on them. It will be a cute keepsake!

Camryn ended up getting walking pnemonia 2 days before Christmas and was running fever. I took him to the doctor and we had to do breathing treatments for several days so he was feeling much better by Christmas day.
Santa brought both of the boys new bikes this year so we have had to get outside some and test them out!

Christmas night I started running a fever and not feeling good at all. I was extremely sick for 3 days. I guess I caught whatver the boys had. Dusty even had to take off work one day to take care of the kids because I was so sick. Thank goodness he was there because I never even got off the couch that day. Dusty has been the lucky one and has avoided getting sick unlike the rest of us!
New Years Eve was pretty uneventful for us this year. We went out to eat with 2 other couples and we were back home by 8pm. We ended up going over to the Bowers and playing their Wii. By 11pm I could barely keep my eyes open so I took a few catnaps while Cadyn and Dusty did Wii boxing. We were such party animals!!
That is the quick catch up. I hope you all hada good holiday too!
