Friday started out pretty quiet. Dusty & Cadyn went to the parts store to work for the day and I decided Camryn and I were going to head to The Promenade and walk around and maybe hit a few shops. Camryn loved the Big water fountain. I think he could have hung out there all day! It was starting to get pretty hot by the time we left but it is such a beautful place to stroll through and enjoy the day.
After Camryn's nap we loaded up the boat and met our frineds The Mackey's out at the lake for an afternoon of fun in the sun. The mackey's kids are the exact ages of ours so they get a along real well. Surprisingly, there were not many people on the lake so it made it a nice day to tube, ski and just swim when we got too hot. I think Cadyn would have stayed on the tube all day. We rode it so long one time that I was asking if we could stop and he just was having so much fun he didn't want to. This was Cooper's first time to be on a tube and he had a blast! I got brave and decided to ski but I am paying for it today. I think my whole body is sore! Dusty is feeling it too after Mackey pulled him on a crazy tube ride and then be was brave enough to ski on one ski!
I wish I would have had my camara so you could see how brave Camryn was in the water. Dusty started throwing him off the back into the water and he would go completely under and come back up yelling "again, again". It was hilarious! He is such a little fish! As soon as the boat would stop he would just barrell off the back and slide into the water!
I think everyone had a great time! We always have such a great time hanging out with the Mackey's! They are such a fun family!

BHS Class of 1993 Reunion
Last night was Dusty's 15 year high school reunion. One of the girls that he graduated with put it together and just had it in her back yard. As you can see by the picture there was not a huge turn out but it was nice because you felt like you got to talk to everyone there since there was not a huge crowd. The guys had a great time reconnecting with some buddies they had not seen in a while and Michelle and I enjoyed just hanging out and visiting with some of the spouses.

Finally Friday....
We have had a busy week and I am glad it is finally Friday even though we have kind of a busy weekend ahead of us! Today Cadyn had his friend Dreyton from his kindergarten class this past year over for the day. They had not seen each other since the last day of school so they had a lot to catch up on. Camryn was pretty excited to have someone different over to play with too!
Cadyn at the football toss! That boy played all the games a million times I think and
They even caught a lizard and after I screamed because they had it
in the house they put in it a baggy! Boys!
Cadyn went to Lindsey's VBS last night and tonight was a celebration night for the whole family
They had games, a bouncy house and hamburgers, hot dogs and nachos.
It was a lot of fun for the kids!
Camryn took a break and had a green apple icey

Last Day of Swim Lessons
Cadyn has been in swim lessons the past two weeks and boy what a difference 2 weeks has made. It is unbelievable what he has has learned. He went from always having a life jacket on to on the 4th day of lessons jumping off the diving board in the deep end and swimming freestyle to the other end of the pool without a life jacket. I am impressed! I wanted him to gain confidence in the water and I think Miss Leann definately helped him accomplish it. Yesterday was the last day and they got to do a lot of jumping, swimming through hoops and diving for rings. She also treated them to lollipops at the end of the class. We will definately do a refresher next summer and hopefully Camryn will be ready to start lessons next year too!

VBS
Wednesday night was the 4th and final night of vacation bible school at our church. The theme this year was Castaway Bay and we learned about building our faith. "Where Faith Conquers Fear And All Doubts Are Cast Away" Everyone who worked on the decorations did a fabulous job and the teachers were great too! I know I haved learned a lot this week and so did Cadyn. The funniest part about the week was Camryn getting up in front of the crowd every night with Mr Bobby the song leader and singing and dancing to the songs. He was quite the entertainment and the kids got a lot of laughs from watching him. I tried to post a video of him singing but I could not get it to load. I will work on it and see if I can get it to load!

Happy Birthday Carley
This afternoon we went to my cousin Carley's 3rd birthday party. She is such a little girly girl and just precious. She is starting preschool this fall so she got a lot of cute new clothes and hair bows. She will just be the cutest one in the class! We got to see my Uncle Neil and Aunt Sherry's new house for the first time too! It is gorgeous! They live right on a golf course and have a so much more room inside and a huge fenced in back yard. I just love new houses! We all had a lot of fun celebrating!
Here is the birthday girl licking the icing off her cupcake. They said she can sing "America the Beautiful" real well but we never could get her to belt it out
Cadyn was enjoying the icing on his cupcake
Camryn was taking a ride on Carley's new souped up scooter. Carley barely got a chance to ride it because the other kids kept getting on it!

Indians vs Padres
This afternoon Cadyn's team (Indians) played his friend Lindsey's team (Padres). They were scheduled to play against each other earlier in the season but the game got rained out so they are just now getting to make it up. It was so cute to see our kiddos out there together. I think they had a good time!

Ear Infections & Swim Lessons
Camryn started running a fever while we were out at mom and dad's on Sunday so Monday morning I took him to the doctor. The diagnosis was he has ear infections in both years. He has had a runny nose for a couple of weeks but you know I have the second child syndrom with him. You always seem to rush the first child to the doctor every time they whimper but when the second one comes along you just give them some benadryl and hope that whatever they have clears up soon. Weel, the runny nose never cleared up and the drainage settled into his ears and caused infection. I felt horrible. Well, he is now on an antibiotic for the next 10 days but after the first dose you could already tell he was feeling better! Finally on the mend!
On another note, Cadyn started swim lessons on Monday. He goes 1 hour a day Monday-Thursday for the next 2 weeks. He really has never tried to swim without a life jacket on and if you even make mention of taking it off or putting his head under water he freaks out! So, I thought it was time for lessons to build his confidence. The first couple of days were spent learning out to breath under water, floating on your back and learning the correct way to stretch your body out and kick your legs in the swimming position. I cannot believe how quickly he has caught on and what a difference 3 days has made. Yesterday they spent most of the hour talking about water safety and then got to jump in at the end! I am excited to see by the end of next week how much he has learned!

Pool Time
My parents neighbors Frank and Marge have a pool and they invited us all over for a cookout and swimming so Sunday we headed out and went to church that morning with mom and dad and then spent the afternoon at the pool! Frank grilled some delicious chicken and we topped it all off with ooey gooey chocolate chip cake, key lime pie and some weight watchers brownies that Marge made that were to die for! Shane and Brandy came out too so the kids had a blast playing the pool together!
Day At The Lake
Saturday after lunch we headed out to the lake for an afternoon of fun in the sun. Shane, Brandy and their kids and Jeff , Michelle and the girls joined us. Debbie and Donnie brought their pontoon out so while half the crew was out tubing and skiing the other half of us hung out on thier mother ship! The kids had a blast swimming and a couple of them were brave enough to tube!
4th of July Festivities
Our 4th of July was very low key. I drug Dusty to my office that morning to load some boxes up to take to the church and while we were there our neighbors Debbie & Donnie came by and picked out some patio furniture for their new deck so since we had the trailer we loaded it up for them and took it to their house. We got back home just in time for Camryn to take a good nap and then we headed back over to Donnie and Debbie's for a cookout! All the neighbors came over and we had tons of good food!
I wanted to get a good picture of our family but in everyone there was someone making a silly face so I just decided to share it anyway!
When it got dark Dusty and the kids set off a few fireworks
It was a fun and relaxing day!
The kids (and Dusty) played a little football

Little Sahara
Last Wednesday we headed out of town with 2 other couples for a 5 day trip at the Little Sahara State Park in Oklahoma. With 3 campers and a trailer full of four wheelers we were quite the convoy driving down the interstate. We really weren't sure how long it would take to get there since we knew we would have to stop for gas and for the kids to stretch their legs but finally 7 hours later around 8:30pm we pulled into the park. And I have to add the little ones did better than I could have ever imagined on the trip. I expected lots of crying and whining but thank goodness they were excellent!
For those of you that don't know, which I didn't before we went, the Little Sahara is located about an hour west of Enid Oklahoma in the middle of NOWHERE about 3 miles from the small town of Waynoka! You actually feel like you are driving in Arizona or New Mexico with the way the mountains look and all the red dirt around but as soon as you pull into the state park there is sand everywhere! The area is totally geared towards ATV riding. You can actually take about a 15 minute ride through the dunes and wind up on the streets of Waynoka. They have certain streets marked in the town that 4-wheelers and dune buggies can ride down. They want you to come and eat meals at the restaurants.
When we pulled in we decided to get the campers set up in their spots and get the 4 wheelers unloaded. Since it was the middle of the week we pretty much had our choice of whereever we wanted. The camp sites are just sand slots one after the other but they do have electric and water hookup at each site. We were right next to a play park for the kids so that was good. As it got dark the first night the guys all went out for a night ride. When Dusty came back he was itching to take me out and look at the dunes so we headed out. Wow, that was a scary ride. You are on sand in the dark and you can't see where you are going till you are there. I begged him not to take me up or down any dunes because they looked so big in the dark but come to find out the next morning when we went out those were nothing. If you went out on the far side of the park there were dunes twice as high as the tallest trees around. It was unbelievable! The rest of the week consisted of a lot of eating, riding, visiting and some down time in the campers during the heat of the day. It was a lot of fun taking Cadyn out on his 4 wheeler to ride. He loved it. He seemed to get braver and braver everyday and by the last day Dusty had him going down a pretty big dune.
I will have to admit I wasn't too sure about taking this trip and I didn't know if it was going to be much fun but in the end I am so glad we went. We had a blast! We definately would like to go back again but maybe during a time of the year when it is not so hot!
I had to post my pictures in 2 different slide shows below because it would not let me do them all in one. Enjoy!
