Lazy I Guess....

I guess that's the best I can come up with since I have not blogged in a while. We really have not had a whole lot going on around here. We celebrated Grandad's 75th birthday last Friday night with a little pizza party. You can click here and go to Brandy's blog to see some great pictures. Sunday afternoon was Kaylin's 1st birthday party. For those of you who don't know she is my best friend Michelle's little girl. They had a blow up fun factory that kids loved! Here are a few pictures from her party!

Camryn going down the the slide

Cadyn headed down head first

Kaylin actually had a bawl tearing the paper off her presents. I have never seen a 1 year old that was actually interested in opening presents

Camryn was trying to make a friend out of Kaylin's cousin Cannon

The birthday girl took no time to dig into the cake and get completely messy. It was quite entertaining!

Cadyn was being a baby with Camryn's "nigh night"

Hot rod Camryn ready to ride on his bubba's 4 wheeler

We are leaving tomorrow for the sand dunes in Oklahoma. I am sure I will have some good stories and pictures to post when we get back!

Happy Father's Day

First of all I have to say that I don't have a single picture from the weekend. I guess I was too lazy to get the camara out.

Saturday we decided to take the boat to the lake and play around for a while. We were having a great time till Dusty went to start the boat to move it away from the shore but it would not start. Poor thing, he tried to get it started himself but after almost an hour of trying we resorted to calling some friends that were at their house on the lake and they came and towed us. So, what was just going to be a couple of hours at the lake turned out to be 6 hours out there. I do have to say that the kids were so good considering it was so hot and they were so tired!

I know I am a day late posting this but I want to say Happy Father's Day to Dusty, my dad and my father-in-law (and my brother Shane too)! Everyone came to our house for a mexican feast lunch yesterday. Dusty was on duty so after Camryn woke up from his long but very much needed nap we went to the fire station to spend some time with him. Both the boys love climbing on the fire trucks! It was a very relaxing day for us and I hope all the Dad's out there had a relaxing day too!

My New Ride

Dusty bought me a Tahoe......
The mini van would not pull the boat and we needed a vehicle that could so we traded the van off for this beauty! Cadyn likes having a dvd player again. So spoiled!

Phase 2 and Crawdads

Well, Saturday morning started out full force. As soon as Dusty got home from work around 7:30 we decided to work on getting weed paper down and then getting the plants back in the ground and new mulch. Dusty went to a nursery in Tontitown to get mulch by the truckload but they did not have the kind we currently had in the flower beds so that meant if we went with a different kind we would have to remulch everywhere. So, all the flower beds got new mulch and I must say it looks awesome! We love how it turned out.

Same view from Friday just with plants and new mulch

Full view of the house

My Father-In-Law bought 30lbs of crawdads so Saturday night we had a bunch of friends come over for a crawdad and shrimp boil feast. I stole Brandy's picture from her blog of the cooler full of crawdads. (My flash did not go off so my picture didn't turn out) Needless to say, we should have invited more people over because there was a lot left over. It was good food and good to visit with everyone!

Dinner time!

Dusty brought over the slip n slide and the kids had a blast playing in the water. Somewhere along the way it got busted so it looks like we will be making a trip to Dollar General to get a new one. That sure was cheap entertainment!

Friday

Lindsey came and spent the night with us and stayed all day Friday. We had big plans to play on our new slip and slide and make sno cones but it was cloudy and rained off and on all morning. So, the kids just played in the rain while I worked on tearing out the landscaping in the front of the house. After lunch we did make some sno cones while they watched a movie and then later in the afternoon we got the slip and slide out and they got to splash around for a while.

We had weeds growing on top of the weed paper so I pulled all the plants, mulch and paper out and now its down to the dirt. Phase 2 will come soon!

Mamaw Rene's brother Ray flew into town for their annual family reunion so we all met up for dinner at Tim's for pizza. It was fun to hang out with the family and visit since we don't seem to get together very often!

Camryn had been helping Mamaw Rene put on her lipstick and putting on some of his own and then had to give her a big kiss!

As we were coming down the driveway I looked over and the sunset was just beautiful. This picture does not do it justice!

Last Day of School

Today was officially Cadyn's last day of school. I can't believe he is already done with Kindergarten and on his way to 1st grade. How time flies!!!

I tried to get a serious picture before he went to school but he was goofing around

Cadyn begged Dusty and I to come and have lunch on his last day so we were more than happy to join him. I picked up Sonic and we had a fun lunch

After lunch and recess Me and some of the other moms stayed and made snow cones for the class. It was so much fun and the kids loved them!

Last but not least this was Cadyn and Lindsey on their first day of school. Don't they look so little??

Here they are today on their last day of kindergarten with Cadyn's friend Dreyton. They have grown and learned so much this year! I am so proud of them!
