Visit with Santa

I took the boys to see Santa so they could tell him what they want for Christmas and so we could get a picture. Cadyn of course was really excited and Camryn was too till he got face to face with Santa. I think he would have talked to Santa all day long from a distance but he did not want to sit on his lap for the picture. Well, as you can see we convinced him with a sucker to sit on Cadyn's lap for a real quick photo op and as soon as I said we were done he hopped off and was back in my arms just talking away to Santa in jibberish none of us could understand except for the occasional " Hey Santa Cwaus".

Cadyn seized the opprotunity to let Santa know he wanted a new bike, laptop and mp3 player for Christmas. I think Santa might be able to surprise him with 2 of those but I have no idea where he even thinks he might get a laptop! He is only 6 and asking for laptops so I can't wait to see what will be on his list when he is 10! They dream big these days!

High School Musical 3

Today I took Cadyn and Lindsey to see HSM3 with a several other boys and girls they go to school with. I wish I would have had my camara because all the kids sat on a row by themselves and the moms sat in front of them. It was so cute to see them all lined up. Cadyn thought it was an ok movie and Lindsey said she loved it. If you have not seen any of the HSM movies they are definately what I would say musicals but they are pretty cute. HSM3 is about their senior year of high school and I actually caught myself thinking about the things I did not do as a senior such as going to prom. I even got a little teary eyed in a couple of places! How dorky huh! Anyway, it was a fun afternoon and I think Cadyn and Lindsey had fun just getting to do something without Kaylin and Camryn in tow!

Helping Dad

These are just a fwe pictures of the boys helping Dusty load wood to stack on the porch. Cadyn always jumps right in and is such a big help to his dad and this was the first time Camryn really got to show he was a big boy and help too! It was so cute seeing them all work together!

Happy 40th Michelle!!!

Sorry Michelle but I just couldn't leave you out! My bestest friend Michelle turned the big 4-0 on the 19th. We had a little surprise dinner/party at Joses's for her. She just thought her and Jeff were going to have a nice quiet dinner by themselves but there was a group of us waiting to surprise her! The picture isn't very good but we had all kinds of over the hill stuff for her to wear and she doesn't look too thrilled about us singing to her! Michelle, hope your b-day was fun!

Back To the Pumpkin Patch....

Last week me and a couple of girlfriends that I graduated high school with decided we would get together and take our kids to the pumpkin patch. It is hard to get us all together at the same time and this sounded like a fun time for the kids and a good photo opportunity to get some pictures of us all with our kids! Well long story short, there ended up being too many sick kids that day so not everyone got to go. I think I was the only one that did not have a kid running a fever! So, it ended up just being me and my friend Jodie and her friend Amy. Jodie and I hardly ever get to see each other so it was really nice to catch up and hang out. The kids got to climb the hay bails, run through the pumpkin patch and we even went on the on the hay ride again!

Jodie and her girls Keeley and Lillie

Camryn got to play on the tractor since no one else was at the patch when we arrived

We are Back.....

I know it has been a long time since I posted but it has been crazy around here the past 2 weeks. Dusty went on a guys hunting trip to Wyoming and 9 hours after he got home I left for Wisconsin and Minnesota for work. I got home last Wednesday night and have just been catching up on my sleep and some good family time since then. We did manage to get out of the house yesterday and go to the pumkin patch but that is about all that's been going on. I will get back into the groove of posting but for now take a look at the 2 posts below for some Wyoming pictures and the pumkin patch!

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday we loaded up with the Bowers family and went to the McGarrah Farms Pumpkin Patch in Pea Ridge. The kids had a blast running around the patch picking out what pumpkins they wanted to pick and take home. They also had a big trailer they were giving hay rides on. We took lots of pictures and enjoyed a great afternoon of family time!

Dusty's Trip to Wyoming

Dusty went on a hunting trip to Wyoming with a few fireman and retired fireman. They were hunting antelope and they all managed to tag out on the first day. Since this was Dsuty's first trip out west the other guys took him sight seeing for the rest of the trip. They had a lot of fun but I think Dusty was more excited about coming home to see his boys! They sure missed him and I did too!

He said the truck barely fit through here

One of the guys took a picture of Dusty talking to me on the phone telling me where he was at

Happy Birthday Shane!!!

Today is my big brother Shane's 36th birthday! We have had our moments with each other throughout the years but as we get older I think we find it comforting to know that we have each other to lean on! I couldn't have asked for a better big brother! Hope you have had a great day and I Love Ya!

Weekend

Saturday was the annual Cave Springs Day so we got up early and had went to the pancake breakfast at the fire department. Cadyn had a soccer game at 9 and Dusty was too busy at teh pancake breakfast so mom met me at the ball fields to watch. He got to play a lot and did really well! From there we rushed back to Cave so we could get a spot to watch the parade. Cadyn was going to ride on the church float but we were running behind getting back out there so he just decided to sit on the side and watch the whole parade instead of being in it. He loaded up on candy!! Camryn was in awh of the firetrucks and tractors that paraded by. Here are a few pictures from the parade...

Camryn with his buddy Ky Ky holding hands and waiting patiently

Cadyn just decided to put his lawn chair on the side of the road and wait

Looking at the fire trucks

Kaylin wasn't too interested

This was our church's float! When they all saw Cadyn on the side of the road they started yelling at him and waving. It was cute!

This was Pop pulling the Tiny Tot contest boys and girls on the float Mimi and Debbie built. It was an under the sea theme and Lindsey got to ride on it!

Sunday was mine and Dusty's 11 year wedding anniversary. Wow how time flies! Neither one of us can believe we have been married that long! My mom came over Saturday night and stayed with the kids while we went out to dinner and then we went bowling. We rarely get time for just the two of us so it was really nice and we had a lot of fun! Sunday afternoon Dusty's parents kept the kids so we could go see a movie. That is a rare thing for us to do too so it was nice to get out and enjoy a movie! I wish I had a picture to show from our wedding day but I don't have a scanner. Maybe I will post one later! We have definately aged!

Dusty left early this morning for a hunting trip to Wyoming and took my camara so I will probably not have any posts this week. Please pray for him to have a safe trip there and his safe return! We are going to miss him!

Silver Dollar City

Last Saturday Michelle and I decided to take Cadyn and Lindsey to Silver Dollar City one last time before it gets cold. We left Camryn with my mom and Kaylin with her Aunt Jill and we were off for a day of fun. It was perfect just being the four of us. We just let the kids pretty much tell us where they wanted to go and what they wanted to ride. The very first one we got on was the American Plunge. Cadyn has rode this several times but for some reason he was scared and started crying. I just kept telling him it would be ok and we were riding. As we started floating down the river I noticed his whole body was shaking. There was no turning back though. When we hit the water we all got completely soaked and I think that made him forget about it all. We were freezing and needless to say that was the only water ride we rode that day. The kids did play in the water at Splash Harbor but it was brief! We ate good had fun and were worn out!

The kids were big enough to stand in line and ride this one all by themselves. They thought they were big stuff!

In jail and worn out at the end of the day!

Tailgator

Tonight Michelle and I took our kids to Cadyn and Lindsey's school for the annual Tailgator night. It is kinda like a back to school celebration where they have games, prizes, inflatables, Chic Fil A catered and lots of other fun stuff. There were tons of people there. The lines for the inflatables were pretty long so thank goodness we did those when we first got there and then went in to eat dinner after they were done playing.

Cadyn and Lindsey posing with the Chic Fil A cow

Camryn taking his turn going down the slide

Cadyn was being crazy on the slide too!

Cadyn and his friend Hunter from church

They were even giving hot air baloon lifts!

Lindsey wanted to climb the wall but started crying about at this point and came back down

Here are the two boo boos! They did not understand that you have to wait your turn to go on the inflatables and started crying when we held them back! Especially Camryn! So, we just straped them back in their strollers to contain them!

Future Fireman

Dusty called me Saturday morning and said that he was out at the Promenade with the fire safety house and wanted me to bring the boys up. So, we quickly got ready and headed up there. When we got there he said they had been talking to a photographer at Picture People and they were wanting a to take pictures of a fireman's kids in their daddy's uniform to show to the editor of a little local magazine called Peekaboo. He said they were talking about doing a safety issue so he thought the cover shot would be cute with a fireman's kid.

We were thinking that Camryn would look absolutely adorable in his Dusty's bunker gear and when the photographer saw Camryn's big smile he couldn't wait to take picture of him! Well, that's where the fun ended! Camryn would not cooperate and would not put his feet in the boots or put the hat on. We even tried to bribe him with a sucker but he was not going to have any part of it! Sweet little Cadyn kept saying the whole time he would do it so they had him jump in and took his picture in the bunker gear! Well, as you can see they turned out AWESOME! We were blown away at how cute they were and how perfect the expressions on Cadyn's face were! Of course we had to end up buying them and I can't wait to get to Hobby Lobby this week and get them framed! Doesn't he look just like his daddy and could definately be a future fireman!

Our Fair Experience

So Friday evening we met the Bowers family at McDonalds in Centerton and then headed to the Benton County Fair for some fun. There were some pretty dark clouds in the sky so we decided we better take the kids to ride the rides first in case it started to rain and then we could check out the animals!
The whole gang getting our tickets for the rides

While Cadyn and Lindsey were watching the camel rides they were surprised when a dude came up with none other than a long, slimey, scary.......

SNAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was so gross and I think it gave all of us goose bumps and we ran from there as fast as we could!

It did start to rain after the kids had gone on a couple of rides but we got to see the most beautiful rainbow! I couldn't get it all in my camara but we could see where it started and ended! Thank goodness the shower only lasted about 10 minutes! One of God's most beautiful miracles!

Cadyn LOVED riding the motorcycles!

I begged the guy that was running these cars to let Camryn ride with Lindsey and Cadyn even though he was too short and he said it was ok. Camryn was in heaven! I never got a shot of him whooping and laughing but you can see by this picture he was working hard on steering that car!

Cadyn on a John Deere tractor modeling his new sword that he got from "picking a duck". What a rip off but he was proud!!

Camryn of course had to have his turn on the John Deere!

After the rides we went and saw all the show animals and then ended our fun at the petting zoo. Cadyn and Camryn chickened out on holding the baby chicks. They just wanted to watch. By the time we made it to the car it was raining really hard so we got out of there just in time. I can't say that the fair was "exciting" but our kids sure had a good time and that's all that matters!
